Dr. Munira Borhany MBBS, MCPS, FCPS, FRCP (Edin), FRCPath.
Dr. Borhany is currently working as Consultant Haematologist and Medical Direcor at the Haemophilia Welfare Society, Karachi Pakistan. At Dr. Ziauddin Medical University Hospital she serves as a Haemato-oncologist. She was the first Pakistani recipient of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) Fellowship in Haemostasis and Thrombosis and received extensive training at the Angelo Bianchi Bonomi Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center, University of Milan, Italy.
Dr. Borhany has worked at almost all the renowned medical establishments in the country and brings with her more than two decades worth of experience. Furthermore, Dr. Borhany is a passionate researcher with more than 70 distinguished research publications on Haemostasis, Thrombosis, Leukaemia, Blood Transfusion, Immune thromcytopenia (ITP), and Bone Marrow Transplantation among others published in both national and international journals and books. Her research is a synthesis of her involvement in treating blood diseases patients with Leukaemia, Lymphomas, Multiple Myeloma, Haemophilia, Thalassemia and other areas of Haematology.
