Dr Joel Livingston MSc, MD, FRCPC is a Pediatric Hematologist and Medical Lead for the KidClot (www.kidclot.com) at The Stollery Children's Hospital and Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at The University of Alberta. He completed his training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Thrombosis/Hemostasis at the University of Toronto and Hospital for Sick Children. His research focusses on improving hematologic and thrombotic care for children with a focus on patient quality of life and quality improvement. Dr. Livingston is particularly interested in the management of pediatric venous thromboembolism and pediatric cardiac thromboprophylaxis. He also focuses on pediatric immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) and is site lead for the Pediatric ITP Consortium of North America (ICON).
