Marilyn Mendoza is a medical doctor who just completed her fellowship on Thrombosis and Hemostasia in Mexico City, in Unidad de Investigacion medica en Trombosis, Hemostasia y Aterogenesis which belongs to the Social Security Mexican Institute. She is from Honduras where concluded her MD training and afterwards accomplished her internal medicine specialty. Then moved to Mexico City where she did her 3 year-training in Hematology and began the journey in Hemostasia and Thrombosis, with the mentorship of her professor Dr. Abraham Majluf. She loves stay in Mexico, right now, she lives in Mexico City, where she began her private practice. She believes there is a wide need for young specialists with an interest in hemostasia and thrombosis around the world and particularly in latinamerican countries, in Honduras she is the first hematologist with this fellowship. Nowadays she is fully committed to grow her expertise, while helping all kind of hematologic diseases suffering patients. She truly appreciates honesty, empathy and problem solving abilities in a team member, characteristics she tries to embrace herself. She considers that listening, respecting and treating well patients are the cornerstone values of a high quality attention, combined with team work, which she thinks is vital these days, especially in hematologic patients who most of the time need a multidisciplinary approach. In her spare time, she loves to travel, spend time with her family and friends, connect with nature, enjoy a day in the beach, read and listen to music of any genre. Also she likes to support some nonprofit institutions in diverse activities throughout the country
