Sanna Rijpma, PhD EuSpLM is clinical chemist at the laboratory of hematology, department of laboratory medicine at the Radboudumc. She focusses on hemostasis diagnostics for patients with complex hemostatic disorders.
Sanna Rijpma studied Biomedical Sciences and obtained her PhD on a personal grant at the Radboud University Nijmegen in 2016. After shortly working as a postdoctoral fellow, she completed a residency in Clinical Chemistry, profiling in hemostasis. She is currently an active member of the Dutch society of hematological laboratory diagnostics (VHL) and clinical chemistry (NVKC) as well as the International Society for Thrombosis and Hemostasis. She contributed to local and national protocols/ guidelines concerning hemostasis-related diagnostics.
Sanna Rijpma has published >20 articles in peer-reviewed journals and is currently setting up a research group, of which the focus ranges from identification and characterization of molecular mechanisms underlying hemostatic disorders on a fundamental level to assay development and performance evaluation in a more applied science spectrum.
