Prof Chris Ward MBChB PhD is a clinical academic haematologist based in Sydney Australia and affiliated to the University of Sydney. He manages a wide range of coagulation disorders and haematological malignancies, and oversees a research group focussing on platelet biology and genotyping. He has had leadership roles in national and regional thrombosis and haemostasis societies and more recently has been elected to ISTH Council, serving as Chair of the Education and Outreach Committee. He has extensive experience in organising scientific meetings of all sizes, as Vice-Chair of the Melbourne ISTH Congress 2019 and Chair of the newly formed Annual Congress Planning Committee that is planning the first ISTH Congress to be held in Southeast Asia (Bangkok 2024)
