Dr. Sidonio is a Pediatric Hematologist at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine. He currently serves as Clinical Director of the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Program at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta
Dr. Sidonio graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine and completed his pediatric residency at the University of Louisville. He completed his fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center/Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, where he also obtained his Master of Science in clinical research.
Dr Sidonio is the co-creator of the Atlanta Protocol, which combines Emicizumab and FVIII for ITI. He is a former MASAC member, incoming ATHN Chair, Hemophilia Federation of America medical advisor and Chair of the Women’s Health in Thrombosis and Haemostasis ISTH subcommittee (SSC cmte). He is the co-PI of the Hemophilia of Georgia VWD project focused on characterization of children with low VWF. He is also the co- PI for the, MOTIVATE study, ATHN 9 study (severe VWD), FEIBA SAFE study and VWD Prophylaxis Network.
