Background: Platelets play a crucial role in the processes of hemostasis and blood coagulation .Viral vector vaccines designed for COVID-19 have shown significant efficacy in reducing the severity of the disease. However, there have been new reports linking these vaccines to sporadic cases of atypical thrombocytopenia syndrome (VITT). Natural bioactive extracted from medicinal plants may negatively regulate the process of platelet aggregation.

Aims: The present investigation aims to enhance comprehension of the possible impacts of A.visnaga flavonoids and water extract on platelet aggregation, particularly within the framework of COVID-19 vaccinations.

Methods: - Collection of blood: Blood samples were obtained from individuals who were in good health and did not consume any substances that might potentially impact the functioning of platelets
- Extraction of A. visnaga samples: two types of extracts were prepared: water extract WE (100mg/L , 300mg/L) Flavonoids F (100mg/L , 300mg/L)
- In Vitro Treatment Protocol: each concentration was introduced into the treatment tube that contained the cleaned platelets. Prior to monitoring platelet aggregation, the incubation period lasted for a duration of 15 minutes at a temperature of 37°C.
- Platelet Aggregation Measurement: SYSMEX CS-2500i optical aggregometer

Results: - Figure 1: the percentage of platelet aggregation of (V) the vaccinated group (n=9) and (NV) the unvaccinated group (n=9), both of which were not subjected to any kind of treatment
- Figure 2: Effects of different extracts including WE and flavonoids on platelet aggregation of (NV) unvaccinated and (V) vaccinated patients induced by different agonists ADP and Collagen

Conclusion(s): Our study revealed a notable impact of The WE that exhibited a more pronounced anti-aggregating activity compared to the flavonoids, attributed to the synergistic interactions between the separated components.
