Jayakumar Manoharan graduated with honors in Biotechnology (B.Tech., Anna University, India and M.Tech., NIT Durgapur, India). He is currently pursuing his doctorate at the Medical Faculty in University of Leipzig in the laboratory of Prof. Berend Isermann. During his doctoral tenure, Jay has become an expert at coagulation and immunity cross-talk. He studies the cross-talk between these systems by using appropriate in vitro and in vivo genetic models to better understand the commonalities and develop therapies that target both systems.
