Dr. Anna Dahlgren, PhD, is a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Michigan. She graduated with a bachelors of science in biochemistry/molecular biology from Bethel University. She went on to do a PhD in genetics and genomics at the University of California Davis in Dr. Carrie Finno’s lab. There, Dr. Dahlgren studied the genetic mechanism of Atypical Equine Thrombasthenia, an inherited platelet disorder in Thoroughbred horses. She is currently a post-doctoral fellow in Dr. Jordan Shavit’s lab using zebrafish to expand her investigations into the genetics of coagulation.
