Payal is a senior Biomedical Scientist working in a diagnostic haemostasis and thrombosis laboratory at Synnovis Analytics based at St Thomas’ hospital, London UK. Payal has been a Biomedical Scientist for over 25 years and has worked in a clinical trials and diagnostic laboratory settings. Payal is a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist and also hold a membership of IBMS.
Payal has been involved in the validation and implementation of new assays. To date, Payal has written and presented her work at scientific meetings locally and nationally. Furthermore, Payal has supervised a number of under-graduate students. She regularly provides training and teaching to specialist registrars, scientists and other laboratory staff.
Not all of her job is paid work, Payal also volunteer as a BMS with BAPS charities and deliver her skills to conduct cardiovascular screening in the community. The project has been awarded as the ‘community project of the year’ in 2019. As a result of this work, she has co-authored two publications in peer-reviewed journals.
