My name is Theresa Schramm, MSc., and I am working as a PhD student at the Department of Medicine I, Clinical Division of Haematology and Haemostaseology at the Medical University of Vienna. After receiving my Bachelor of Science in 'Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology' from the University of Applied Sciences Krems, I continued my studies at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna. There, I successfully completed my Master's studies in 'Comparative Biomedicine' in 2021. In September 2020, I joined the Thrombosis and Haemostasis Research Group of Univ.-Prof. Dr. Ingrid Pabinger and Assoc.-Prof. Priv. Doz. Cihan Ay as a master's student. In October 2021, I enrolled as a PhD student in the PhD program 'Vascular Biology' and continued my work under the supervision of Ap. Prof. Priv.-Doz. Johanna Gebhart. My research focuses on investigating the underlying biological mechanisms in primary immune thrombocytopenia.
