Bilgimol Chumappumkal Joseph, PhD, working as an Assistant Project Scientist at the University of California San Diego, Department of Medicine, with experience in Hematology, Vascular biology, Biochemistry, Molecular biology, Microbiology, Thrombosis & Hemostasis. My research is focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms of hemophilic arthropathy, coagulopathy of trauma, and anemia, and developing animal models for cutting-edge research in traumatic bleeding and post-partum hemorrhage. Currently, my research is focused on: Iron deficiency anemia and traumatic bleeding, RNASeq analysis of hemophilic mice after joint injury, Understanding the proteomics of hemophilia patients’ plasma profile, lymphangiogenesis and iron clearance in hemophilic arthropathy, and development of mice model for postpartum hemorrhage study.
