Alexa Moschella, HBSc. is an award-winning medical student from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. She completed her Honours Bachelor of Science Degree (HBSc) at the University of Toronto, graduating with High Distinction. She was awarded several leadership and achievement awards including the University of Toronto Scholar Award, the Alan F. Coventry Memorial Scholarship, and the University of Toronto Student Leadership Award. Since beginning medical school at the University of Ottawa, she was twice awarded the Medical Student Summer Research Program grant for her research contributions to thrombosis and hemostasis. Recognizing the importance of patient awareness in the management of thrombotic conditions, Alexa is engaged in research which highlights patient knowledge and understanding of thromboembolic events.
