Dakota Gustafson holds a Ph.D. from University of Toronto and is a dedicated medical professional and researcher from Queen's University, Kingston, Canada who is deeply passionate about cardiovascular health, epidemiology, and translational medicine. Currently pursuing both a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree at Queen’s University, School of Medicine, and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Epidemiology at Queen’s University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Dakota is committed to advancing medical knowledge and improving patient outcomes.
His research has focused on pioneering diagnostic applications of circulating biomarkers in cardiovascular diseases, which through innovative methodologies has assisted in the prediction of chemotherapy-related cardiac dysfunction using extracellular vesicles, contributing significantly to our understanding of cardiovascular pathology. Beyond academia, he is committed to community engagement and mentorship of aspiring graduate students, guiding them through the challenges of academia and supporting their career development.
