Dr. Adela Constantinescu-Bercu is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Imperial College London, currently focussing on angiogenesis using 'organ-on-chip' technology, in collaboration with Politecnico di Milano. She has completed her BSc in Biomedical Sciences at Imperial College London (2014), followed by an MPhil in Clinical Sciences (Translational Medicine and Therapeutics) at the University of Cambridge (2015). Her PhD at Imperial College London (2020) discovered a novel platelet-neutrophil interaction under flow that might be involved in the initial events leading to DVT. Following her PhD, she completed her first Postdoc at University College London where she developed a microfluidic assay to monitor thrombogenicity in TTP patients.
