Maria Cristina Vedovati is an associate professor of Internal Medicine at the Department of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Perugia, Italy and a physician at the Institute of Vascular and Emergency Medicine – Stroke Unit, Santa Maria della Misericordia Hospital in Perugia, Italy.
She was graduated as medical doctor in 2003 at University of Perugia School of Medicine, Italy. She continued her training at University of Perugia, Italy, and achieved the specialization in Internal Medicine 2009 and the specialization in Emergency Medicine in 2014.
She is a member of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) and a co-chair at the SSC Subcommittee on Predictive and Diagnostic Variables in Thrombotic Disease. She is also a member of the Acute CardioVascular Care (ACVC) association, of the Italian Society on Hemostasis and Thrombosis (SISET), of the Italian Society of Emergency Medicine (SIMEU), of the Italian Society of Internal Medicine (SIMI) and of the Italian Association of Cardiology (ANMCO).
During her career has been involved in numerous studies mainly focused on venous thromboembolism (diagnosis and treatment) and on anticoagulant therapy (for atrial fibrillation or venous thromboembolism).
She is author or coauthor of almost 80 publications in indexed journals.
She is a referee for peer reviewed journals.
