Stijn Groten, MSc - Sanquin Research, Amsterdam, the Netherlands
Good day,
My name is Stijn Groten, PhD student at Sanquin, the bloodbank of the Netherlands. Here I reside in the proteomics group in the department of hematology and am in my final PhD year. The project I work on revolves around the endothelial cytokine interface using system wide omics integrations with sidesteps into 3D in vitro culturing and imaging. Next to the fundamental curiousity of how cells manage to operate in intricately orchestrated networks, I strive to make the data-dense and complex nature of the proteomics field accesible and understandable. Finally I have an inherent passion for presenting work, both from a scientific viewpoint as well as an entertaining one. Alhtough I will leave my guitar at home for this ISTH you can check out my Youtube channel to see what I get up to (youtube.com/@stijngroten)
Have a wonderful day!
Kind regards,
Stijn Groten
