Kyung Hoon Cho is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Cardiology, Chonnam National University Hospital, Chonnam National University Medical School in Korea. He also holds the position of head of a medical device clinical trial office at Chonnam National University Hospital.
He received a medical degree and Ph.D. from Chonnam National University Medical School. He is working as an interventional cardiologist and has published a series of articles on acute myocardial infarction. He has been serving as a project leader for multicentre randomized clinical trials of a one-month DAPT strategy in patients with acute coronary syndrome. In 2021, his institute research team published ‘Unguided de-escalation from ticagrelor to clopidogrel in stabilised patients with acute myocardial infarction undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (TALOS-AMI)’ in the Lancet.
Recently, Pf. Cho has successfully led a project using an Artificial Intelligence-Based Medical Technique to detect acute myocardial infarction via electrocardiograms.
