Toshiaki Iba, MD, Ph. D
Toshiaki Iba is a Professor of Emergency and Disaster Medicine at Juntendo University, Japan. He is a Councillor for several academic societies, including the Japanese Society for Abdominal Emergency Medicine; and acts as a member of the disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) Committee for the Japanese Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis, and the Japanese Society for Acute Medicine. He previously acted as Chairman of the DIC Scientific Standardization Committee for the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis. Professor Iba is an Associate Editor for several scientific journals, and he has co-authored more than 290 peer-reviewed articles. He was also the recipient of the 2021 Eberhard F. Mammen award
