Kim Schafer, MSN, RN, FNP-C is a Family Nurse Practitioner at the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Center in the University of California, Davis Health System. She specializes in caring for children and adults with hemophilia and other inherited bleeding and clotting disorders. She has been an HTC team member for more than 24 years. In addition, Ms. Schafer is actively involved in clinical trials for improving the clinical management of bleeding and clotting disorders, including trials of factor VIII and factor IX clotting factors, new generation clotting factors, and gene therapy in hemophilia. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and as a Hemostasis nurse.
