Sheh-Li Chen, PharmD, BCOP is the clinical pharmacy practitioner in Benign Hematology at the University of North Carolina Medical Center (UNCMC) in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where she is responsible for the management of medications used for treatment of myeloproliferative neoplasms and classical hematology disorders including coagulation, thrombocytopenia, sickle cell disease and other disorders.
Dr Chen serves as the Assistance Professor of Clinical Education at the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy, where she lectures on coagulation disorders and anemias in the elective hematology oncology modules. She is also involved in the training of pharmacy students, PGY1 residents and PGY2 residents.
Dr Chen received her Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy) degree at the National University of Singapore in Singapore, and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at University of Florida in Gainesville, and completed a PGY2 residency in Hematology Oncology at the Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. She is board certified in Oncology.
Dr Chen’s research interests focus on myeloproliferative neoplasms, anticoagulation, thrombocytopenia and anemia.
