Dr. Elizabeth Yan, HBSc, MD is a Resident Physician at the Stollery Children's Hospital who is in her first year (PGY-1) of the General Pediatrics Residency Program at the University of Alberta. She completed her undergraduate degree in Pathobiology, Biochemistry, and Immunology at the University of Toronto and her medical school training at McMaster University. She has had previous research experience within the realms of genetics, epigenetics, cancer, and immunotherapy. Her current research aims to elucidate the natural history of neonatal and infant thrombi to determine optimal duration of anticoagulation for clot resolution and thromboprophylaxis. With her deep interest in hemostasis, thrombosis, and cancer, she hopes to pursue a future career in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology.
