Paolo Bucciarelli, MD, is responsible of the Thrombosis Outpatient Clinic at the "Angelo Bianchi Bonomi" Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center of the Fondazione IRCCS Ca' Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico of Milan (Italy), where he is also involved in clinical research in the field of hemostasis and thrombosis. He is also responsible of the Anticoagulant Clinic of the hospital.
Given his expertise in epidemiology and statistics, Dr. Bucciarelli is involved in the study design and statistical analysis of studies dealing with risk factors for thrombosis (particularly venous thromboembolism) and rare coagulation disorders. He has particular interest in predictive models for venous thrombosis and coagulation disorders, and in network analysis.
Dr. Bucciarelli is reviewer for several journals in the field of haematology and haemostasis and thrombosis. Since 2013 he is official methodological reviewer for the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (the official journal of ISTH).
Since 1990 Dr. Bucciarelli published 126 papers in peer-reviewed journals (ORCID-ID: 0000-0003-0877-365X), and participated to several national and international congresses in the field of haemostasis and thrombosis, also as speaker and chairman.
