Sabine van der Horst, a medical graduate of the VUmc School of Medical Sciences in the Netherlands, obtained her degree in 2020. Her professional journey commenced with a role as a resident not-in-training at the internal medicine department of Ziekenhuis Amstelland in Amstelveen, the Netherlands. Transitioning into a research-focused role, Sabine has spent the past two years as a researcher (PhD-student) at the department of Thrombosis and Hemostasis at Leiden University Medical Centre, the Netherlands. Her research focuses on the intricate challenges surrounding anticoagulant therapy, with a particular emphasis on bleeding complications and addressing therapy adherence.
