Dr. Soo-Mee Bang, Professor of Internal Medicine, Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, received an MD and PhD degree from the Seoul National University in Korea. She specializes in Hematology-Oncology in 2000. She is currently the President of the Korean Society on Thrombosis and Hemostasis.

Dr. Soo-Mee Bang is a member of several societies including the American Society of Hematology, International Society on Thrombosis and Hemostasis and the Asian-Pacific Society on Thrombosis and Hemostasis. Throughout her career, Dr. Soo-Mee Bang received several awards including the Song-Am Award from the Korean Society on Thrombosis and Hemostasis (2010). Her recent research focuses on the cancer associated thrombosis, myeloproliferative neoplasms and monoclonal gammopathy of unknown significance.
