I am Kadri Kangro, currently a Postdoctoral Trainee in Dr. Alisa Wolberg’s Lab and Dr. Matthew Flick’s Lab in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I had my PhD training in the Laboratory for Thrombosis Research at KU Leuven at Kortrijk, Belgium. My current research focuses on (1) how FXIII mediates venous thrombosis, and (2) understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms that drive the pathogenesis of COVID-19 from mild to severe.
