Frieda Marka MSc is currently enrolled in the PhD program vascular biology at the medical university of Vienna, in the research group of Dr. Hohensinner. Her fields of interest are cardiovascular research and immunology with main focus on macrophages and monocytes. Here she investigates the role of mechanical stress in atherosclerotic lesions on macrophages and monocytes.
