My name is Nadja Paeslack, I am a PhD student in the research group of Prof. Christoph Reinhardt at the Center for Thrombosis and Hemostasis of the university medical center Mainz, Germany. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz in 2020. In 2023 I received my Master of Science degree in Biomedicine from Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz. My undergraduate research focused on analyzing the role of DUOX2 and intestinal epithelial TLR2 in villus vascularization of the small intestine. In my current doctoral research I investigate the role of the gut microbiota and its metabolites on the development of atherosclerosis, atherothrombosis and platelet function.
