Dr Geneviève McCluskey began her university career at the University Grenoble Alpes, France, where she studied biology. Following her masters in physiology, differentiation and development, she completed her PhD at the School of Pharmacy at Cardiff University, Wales, on the crosstalk between complement and coagulation. More specifically, she studied the interaction between complement regulator Factor H and thrombin. She is presently a post-doctoral research fellow in Dr Cécile Denis' laboratory in Paris (INSERM 1176), where she is working on the novel investigational siRNA treatment Fitusiran, wwith Dr Peter Lenting.
