Sheng Ye (he/him) is a PhD student in the Cardiovascular System Research Program at Nara Medical University under the supervision of Professor Koichi Kokame. For his PhD research focused on establishing an optimal workflow for genetic analysis in VWF using long-read sequencing to overcome the current difficulties in VWF gene analysis, he worked as a research assistant at the Department of Molecular Pathogenesis in National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center since 2022. Prior to pursuing his PhD, he achieved his bachelor’s degree in clinical medicine from Nanjing Medical University in 2005 and then worked as a physician at Nanjing Red Cross Blood Center for about fifteen years. From 2009 to 2014, he completed his postgraduate training in the medical school of Nanjing University and achieved his master’s degree. He can be contacted at: yo.sei@ncvc.go.jp
