Tomohiro Kawano is a Japanese vascular neurologist (MD and PhD).
I guraduated from Kagosima University in 2007 (MD).
After residency, I wanted to treat stroke patients and worked at National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center, which has the largest stroke care unit in Japan.
I got a PhD in medical science at University of Osaka in 2019.
After that, I had been a post-doc reserahcer in Mackman lab in the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC, USA from 2022 to 2023.
At present, I am working at the department of Neurology, University of Osaka, Osaka Japan.
My research interest is "cancer-associated stroke".
I would like to uncover the pathophysiology of cancer-associated stroke using animal models.
