Giuseppe Camporese is an associate professor at the University of Padua; his currently affiliation is: Academic Internal Medicine Ward (Clinica Medica 1), Department of Internal Medicine, Padua University Hospital, Italy .
He received his medical degree from the University of Padua School of Medicine in 1993 and his post-graduation degree in Angiology in 1996 at the University of Catania. He completed his internship in Angiology at the Unit of Angiology of the Padua University Hospital where in 1998 became Assistant and referent for venous thromboembolism. In 2017 he get the national eligibility to Associate Professor of Internal Medicine. In 2022 he moved to the academic ward of Internal Medicine at the Padua University Hospital where was appointed as the referent for Vascular Medicine.
He is author of more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals, of several chapters in different textbooks of vascular diseases, and is the curator of the Treaty of Vascular Medicine edited in 2024. He participated as chairman, principal investigator or sub-investigator in more than 60 randomized clinical trials in management of diagnosis, treatment and prophylaxis of arterial and venous diseases.
He has been teaching chairman for seminars on thoracic outlet syndrome, venous thromboembolism prevention and treatment, and management of arterial diseases at the Post-Graduate Schools of Physiatrics and Thoracic Surgery at the University of Padua; from 2018 he is a teacher at the Master in Vascular Medicine and Thrombotic Disorders at the University of Padua.
He is a fellow of the Italian Society of Angiology and Vascular Disease, of the Italian Society for Vascular Investigations, of the International Union of Angiology and of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis. From 2008 to 2013 he has been a member of the Board of the Italian Society for Vascular Investigation of which he is currently a tutor.
