Dr. Andreas Verstraete completed his MD degree in 2021 at the University of Leuven, Belgium. Dr. Verstraete is a trainee in the Department of Cardiovascular Diseases at the University Hospitals Leuven, Belgium. He has a specific interest in the epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment of venous thromboembolism. Dr. Verstraete started his PhD in October 2023, focusing on translational research examining the role of multigenetic thrombophilia testing in patients with venous thromboembolism.
