Michael is a 3rd year PhD student at Imperial College London in the department of Immunology and Inflammation. His PhD project is titled: the therapeutic potential and mechanism of antibodies directed against the C-domains of VWF. He obtained a BSc in Biomedical Science from the University of Surrey. Subsequently, Michael completed an MSc in Molecular Medicine at Imperial College London, therein further laboratory experience and a keen interest in thrombosis and haemostasis developed. He has also worked as a research technician for 1 year, undertaking research into the utilisation of shear-based assays for the analysis of VWF-mediated platelet capture under physiological and pathological flow conditions.
