Dr. Timothy Hoberstorfer is a PhD student at the Division of Hematology and Hemostaseology (Department of Medicine I) of the Medical University of Vienna, where he also graduated in Medicine in 2023. During his studies, he worked as scientific assistant at the Division of Angiology and wrote his diploma thesis at the Division of Cardiology. Rotations abroad led him to Heidelberg (Germany), Newcastle (UK) and Zurich (Switzerland). In October 2023, he enrolled in the Vascular Biology PhD program and joined the Thrombosis and Haemostasis Research Group of Univ.-Prof. PD Dr. Cihan Ay. His research currently focuses on the clinical and translational aspects of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.
