I am Full Professor of Hematology in Paris Cité University and European Georges Pompidou Hospital in Paris. After residency and fellowship in Hematology department of European Georges Pompidou hospital, I completed a PhD on “thrombin receptor activation in endothelial progenitor cells” in 2006. Scientific focus of my lab is hemostasis, hemocompatibility of biomaterials and vascular and valvular biology. In 2018, I was elected co-chairman of the Scientific and Standardization Committee on Vascular Biology of the ISTH for endothelial progenitor section. I was the director of the Biosurgical research lab in European Georges Pompidou Hospital between 2019 and 2021. Recently, my team has been involved in identifying urgent questions and challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic on the thrombotic and vascular aspects of the disease.
