My name is Claire Coumau, PharmD, actually PhD student in the Centre of Research and Innovation in Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences in Lausanne University Hospital, University of Geneva, Switzerland. My research focuses on the safety of oral anticoagulants in the elderly, particularly drug-drug interactions associated with this medication class, and the detection of haemorrhagic adverse events from older inpatients taking oral anticoagulants. I am currently working on a project to develop and validate a multimodal, multisource and multicentre data-driven approach for the detection of adverse events of antithrombotic drugs in elderly hospitalised patients, using different sources of structured and unstructured information from the electronic medical record.
