Annabelle Rosa is a PhD student at the Institute of Experimental Biomedicine II, University Hospital Würzburg, Germany. Her current research focuses on unraveling the intricate interplay between platelet-macrophage interaction and its implications in cardiovascular disease, with a particular emphasis on the role of cyclophilin A (CypA) in platelet function and thrombo-inflammation. Through the innovative approach using the transgenic mouse model Ppia fl/fl PF4Cre, her project seeks to elucidate the mechanisms underlying the involvement of platelet CypA in integrin signaling, immune cell recruitment and CypA release dynamics.
