Graduated in Medicine from Zaragoza University in 2003. Specialized in pediatrics, PhD from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in 2011. Master's degree in pediatric hematology in Sant Joan de Déu Hospital; in congenital coagulopathies from the University of Alcalá; and an Executive master's in the management of healthcare organizations from Ramón Llul University.

Pediatric hematologist at Sant Joan de Déu Hospital since 2010. Head of department since 2018 and responsible for the Pediatric Thrombosis and Hemostasis Unit. Co-coordinator of the integrated hemophilia Unit SJD-HSP Barcelona and European Reference Network (ERN) EuroBloodNet representative where leads (together with Dr. Heelen van Ommen, the ERN-Pediatric Thrombosis Working Group.

Involved in different scientific societies (SEHOP, SEH, ISTH, EHA). He leads the research line "coagulation disorders in children" at Sant Joan de Déu Hospital. He is also principal investigator in various clinical trials related to bleeding and thrombotic disorders in pediatrics.
