Professor Pawel Laguna graduated from the Warsaw Medical University in 1991 and ever since he has been working at his alma mater specialising in haematology and congenital blood clotting disorders. During this time, he specialised in paediatrics, paediatric haemato-oncology and clinical transfusiology. He’s the first person who introduced radioisotope synovectomy as a treatment in Poland. He also took part in many clinical trials in the field of congenital haemorrhagic diatheses. In years 2015-2016, he held the position of a national clinical transfusiology consultant. Currently, he holds the position of a regional consultant for paediatric haematology and oncology. He's also the chief consultant for the Department of Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Transplantology at Warsaw Medical University. He also authored more than 150 research articles published in both Polish and international medical research journals. Privately, a loving husband and father who enjoys sports and watching good movies.
