Geoffrey Kershaw is the Senior Hospital Scientist in charge of the haemostasis laboratory at the Institute of Haematology, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, Australia. He is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Medical Scientists and has twenty-five years experience in haemastasis testing, which includes testing for two large Haemophilia Treatment centres including both adults and paediatric populations. Current interests include integrating testing procedures for the new haemophilia therapeutics both locally and assisting at the national level through conducting various laboratory-based field studies of product and inhibitor measurement. This work has included use of one-stage clotting assays, chromogenic FVIII anf FIX assays, factor inhibitor assays and assays for measurment of bi-specific antibodies usedas therapy for haemophilia.
