Prof. Nongnuch Sirachainan received her Doctor of Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine at Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, and Diplomas in Pediatrics, Hematology and Oncology from the Medicine Council of Thailand. During 2000-2002, she was a WFH Trainee and Research Fellow in the Pediatric Hemostasis Disorder Program at Mott Children’s Hospital, University of Michigan, USA and a Clinical Fellow in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada during 2003-2004.
Dr. Sirachainan has been working at the Department of Pediatrics at Ramathibodi Hospital since 2004. In 2016, she was recognized by the Medical Council of Thailand for Outstanding Performance in Virtue and Ethics for her dedication to teaching students and contribution to academic work. At present, she serves as the Deputy Chair of the Department of Pediatrics, Head of Hematology and Oncology, and director of Thrombosis and hemostasis center at Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi hospital, co-chair of the Pediatrics/Perinatal subcommittee of ISTH, and a member of the executive committee of the IPTN.
Her clinical interest is in the area of hemostasis. She has authored or co-authored more than 130 articles and book chapters.
