Dr. Lakshmi Srivaths is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Hematology at University of Texas Health Science Center and McGovern Medical College and Gulf States Hemophilia and Thrombophilia Center at Houston, Texas. She is the Director of Pediatric Thrombosis Clinic and co-Director of Pediatric Brain and Spine clinic at her center. She was the co-Director of Young Women’s Hemostasis and Thrombosis Program at Texas Children’s Hospital, Houston, Texas from 2009-2019.
Dr Srivaths’ clinical & research expertise is in the area of pediatric & adolescent hemostasis and thrombosis, with many grants, collaborative research and publications. She has received many awards for her work including Women of Excellence Award, 2020, and is the editor of the textbook “Hematology in the Adolescent Female”. She has held many leadership positions and is currently the Chair for the Women and Girls with Blood Disorders-Learning Action Network, FWGBD, member of Factor VIII, Factor IX and Rare Coagulation Disorders scientific sub-committee, ISTH, and co-chair for the Pediatric and Neonatal Thrombosis & Hemostasis scientific sub-committee, ISTH.
