Tamrat Assefa (BPharm, MSc) is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at the School of Pharmacy College of Health Sciences (CHS) at Addis Ababa University (AAU), Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He is also the Founder, Coordinator, and Clinical Pharmacist at Pharmacist-Led Anticoagulation Clinic (PLAC) CHS Tikur Anbessa Specialized Hospital (TASH). He conducts research in the area of thrombosis in different patient populations (emergency, medical, surgery cancer, and COVID-19), anticoagulation, warfarin therapy, prevention of cardiovascular diseases, clinical trials, adherence to medicines, COVID-19 and its vaccines and quality of life in different patients. Mr. Tamrat led many studies in the aforementioned areas and published about 35 articles in local and international reputable journals. He is also Co-Chair SSC Subcommittee-ISTH Control of Anticoagulation and Visiting Research Fellow, Queen Mary University of London, London, UK.
