Professor Stéphane Zuily is working in the Vascular Medicine department of the Nancy Academic Hospital since 2009.
His clinical activities include the management of all frequent (e.g. arterial and venous thrombosis, atherosclerosis, arteriopathy, aneurysms, acrosyndrome, thrombophilia, etc.) and rare vascular pathologies of the arteries, veins, lymphatics and the microcirculation. His skills are also integrated into the activities of the Vascular departement labeled as a National Reference Center for Rare Autoimmune and Autoinflammatory Diseases.
His research activities are oriented towards the antiphospholipid syndrome and thrombosis. He worked for a year in New York (USA) in 2014-2015 as part of this specialization with Dr. Doruk Erkan (Weill Cornell Medicine, Hospital For Special Surgery). Professor Zuily is editor of the “antiphospholipids” section for the journal Current Rheumatology Reports (Springer Nature).
He developed with Doruk Erkan and Medha Barbhaiya the new 2023 ACR/EULAR classification criteria for antiphospholipid syndrome.
