Dr Samantha J Montague is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Birmingham Platelet Group at the University of Birmingham, UK.
She completed her PhD in Birmingham with Professor Watson before completing a 3-year postdoctoral position with Professor Elizabeth Gardiner at the Australian National University.
Dr Montague's research interests include exploring the roles of platelets and platelet receptors in immunothrombosis. Currently, Dr Montague is a principle investigator and leading research on exploring the underlying mechanisms of platelet activation in vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT) and other anti-Platelet Factor 4 (anti-PF4) disorders through the platelet receptor Fc-gamma-RIIA.
