Dr Carolyn Millar is a Consultant Haematologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS trust and a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Immunology and Inflammation at Imperial College London. She has longstanding research interests in the configuration, function and kinetics of von Willebrand factor. As well as von Willebrand disease her clinical interests include obstetric haemostasis and thrombosis and she leads the obstetric haematology service at Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea Hospital. Dr Millar currently chairs the United Kingdom Haemophilia Centre Doctors’ Organisation Von Willebrand Disease Working Party. She has been the local principal investigator for a number of clinical trials including phase 1 studies and contributes towards the work of various national bodies including NHS England and NICE.
