Olivier Christophe, PhD, is Director of Research at the Laboratory for Hemostasis, Inflammation, and Thrombosis, Unité Mixte de Recherche S1176, Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale (Inserm), Université Paris-Saclay, Le Kremlin-Bicêtre, Paris, France.
He earned his PhD from the University of Paris-Cité, France. Following his PhD, he served as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Plasma Proteins at Sanquin Research in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. In 2000, he joined Inserm, where he currently holds the position of Director of Research.
Dr. Christophe's research focuses on the structure-function relationships of hemostasis proteins, employing models ranging from purified systems to in vivo studies. He has a particular interest in von Willebrand factor and other blood coagulation factors, as well as the disorders associated with these proteins. His goal is to develop innovative therapies using engineered proteins and single-domain antibodies. His work has led to high-impact publications and licensed patents.
