Rosanna Asselta is a Full Professor of Medical Genetics at Humanitas University. She holds a degree in Biological Sciences and a PhD in "Molecular Genetics applied to Medical Science"s from the University of Milan. In 2005, she became an Assistant Professor in Molecular Biology at the University of Milan's Medical Faculty. Her expertise in statistical analysis of genetic data was enhanced by a two-year stint as a visiting scientist at Helsinki University’s Department of Molecular Medicine and the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT. Throughout her doctoral and post-doctoral training, she attended international courses at institutions such as the Turku Centre for Biotechnology, European School of Genetic Medicine, Helsinki University, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Her accolades include awards from the Italian Telethon Foundation, the European Molecular Biology Organization, the European Science Foundation, the Slovak Society of Thrombosis and Hemostasis, and the Early Career Investigator Award from the Bayer Hemophilia Program. Prof. Asselta has authored 205 papers indexed in PubMed, with an average impact factor of 11.5, and holds an h-index of 45 on Scopus and 53 on Google Scholar.
