Background: Changes of coagulation parameters and their relation to clinical outcomes in hospitalized COVID 19 patients

Aims: The goal of the study was to find the coagulation profile of COVID! 19 patients, treated in non-intensive care unit.

Methods: A retrospective descriptive study was performed in Mongolian-Japanese Hospital of the MNUMS and the Central Hospital of the MNUMS, between June and October 2021.

Results: : A total 397 patients aged 18-95 participated, in this study. 50.9% (202) were men, 49.1% (195) were women, the average age was 49.9±18.25. 30.2% (120) of the patients had mild, 28.2% (112) moderate, and 40.8% (162) severe disease.
As the disease progresses, D dimer was performed in a total of 30 patients in severe and fatal cases and was significantly increased in the mortality group (1.81 ± 2.00; 4.02 ± 0.12 p-0.029). (Table1).
According to ISTH diagnostic criteria for disseminated intravascular coagulation 19 (70.3%) of the survivors met the criteria while in terms of all non survivors met the criteria matched the grade of overt-DIC (≥5 points). (Table 2.)

As the disease progresses, prothrombin time, activated partial thromboplastin time was markedly prolonged p< 0.05. D dimer was performed in a total of 30 patients in severe and fatal cases and was significantly increased in the mortality group (1.81 ± 2.00; 4.02 ± 0.12 p-0.029). (Table1).
According to the International Society on Thrombosis and Hemostasis (ISTH) diagnostic criteria for disseminated intravascular coagulation 19 (70.3%) of the survivors met the criteria while in terms of all non survivors met the criteria matched the grade of overt-DIC (≥5 points). (Table 2.)
